Cooking Directions for Single Meal

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Melt the butter.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper.
  4. Cut salmon fillet into individual serving portions. Place in small baking dish and season with salt and pepper. Pour the melted butter-spice mixture directly onto the salmon. *Let marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
  5. Bake at 350 F for 12 to 15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through. Cooking time may vary depending on thickness of the fillets.
  6. Prepare the salad and fruit.
  7. Serve Baked Cajun Salmon over salad with side of fruit.

Freezeasy Meal Prep Directions

  1. Cut 2 lbs. of salmon fillet into 8 pieces.
  2. Melt 4 Tbsp butter.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with 2 Tbsp paprika, 2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tsp onion powder and 1 tsp cayenne pepper.

To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie, add the following ingredients:

  • 4 salmon pieces
  • Salt and pepper
  • Half of the butter-spice mixture

Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add label to baggie and freeze.

Freeze & Thaw Instructions

Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw in the fridge overnight, or a warm bowl of water for about 20 minutes, before transferring the salmon and marinade to the grill. Grill over direct heat as directed.
