The best flavor, packed into each bite. This one is heavy on the garlic and it balances perfect with the mild salmon and basil. Must grill this summer!

Ingredients for Single Meal

  • 1 - lb(s) salmon fillet
  • - Salt and pepper
  • 2 - Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 - Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 - tsp minced garlic
  • 2 - tsp Italian seasoning
  • Side: - salad**
  • Side: - garlic bread**
  • 1 - gallon-size freezer baggie(s)

Cooking Directions for Single Meal

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic and Italian seasoning.
  2. Cut salmon fillet into 4 pieces. Place in small baking dish and season with salt and pepper. Pour the marinade directly on top. *Let marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill and add the salmon, skin side down, over the direct heat. Brush with the marinade and discard remaining marinade. Let cook for about 8 minutes, then move on the grill over indirect heat and grill until cooked through. Cooking time may vary depending on thickness of salmon piece. Total grill time can be 15-20 minutes.
  4. Prepare the salad.
  5. Prepare the garlic bread. (It’s delicious when grilled.)
  6. Serve Best Grilled Salmon with side salad and rice.

Freezeasy Meal Prep Directions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together 4 Tbsp olive oil, 4 Tbsp soy sauce, 4 tsp minced garlic and 4 tsp Italian seasoning.

To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie, add the following ingredients:

  • 4 salmon pieces
  • Salt and pepper
  • Half of the prepared marinade into each bag

Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add label to baggie and freeze.

Freeze & Thaw Instructions

Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw completely in the fridge overnight, before transferring the salmon to the grill and grilling as directed.

Thaw completely, then bake at 400 F for 15 to 20 minutes, or until salmon is no longer pink in the middle.
