A Step by Step Look at How the Deck the Freezer Meal Prep Session Will Look in Your Kitchen
We pride ourselves on efficiency and delicious recipes around MyFreezEasy, and my hope is that these photos will help you get sense of what a freezer meal prep session looks like.
The idea is that you will be:
- set up for success with the Deck the Freezer Party.
- a few meals ahead of the holiday madness that is to come!
Step 1 – Set out Ingredients Needed for Each Meal
I generally set out the ingredients needed for the ingredient prep, as shown – grouped by recipe.
I follow the ingredient list from the “Freezer Meal Prep Day Shopping List by Recipe” (shown) to help me organize it quickly.
Step 2 – Prep all the Ingredients
In the case of this set of 3 recipes, I did the following (as outlined on the “Pre-Cook and Chop Instructions” section.)
Step 3 – Add Meats to Baggies and Finish Meal Assembly
Using the “Assembly by Recipe,” I go recipe by recipe (2 meals for each recipe) and add the ingredients as listed in the bullets.
Step 4 – Add all Ingredients into Baggies
Another look at that process – with all the meals prepped!
Step 5 – Seal the Baggies and Prep for Freezer
Once the meals are all assembled, I remove as much air as I can and then seal it closed. If I’m going to stack them as shown to put into the freezer, then I will add a small piece of wax paper to keep the baggies from sticking together after they are frozen.
