I think Slow Cooker Beef Ravioli might be my new favorite dinner. I don’t know why…they just seem so easy. Well, they are easy. Especially in the slow cooker! Enjoy!

Ingredients for Single Meal

  • 1 - lb(s) ground beef
  • 1 - Tbsp minced onion
  • 1 - tsp garlic powder
  • 1 - 26 oz. jar(s) spaghetti sauce
  • 20 - oz. fresh or frozen ravioli
  • 1 - cup(s) beef broth
  • - Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 - cup(s) Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 - cup(s) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Garnish: - fresh basil**
  • Side: - veggies**
  • Side: - salad**
  • 1 - gallon-size freezer baggie(s)

Cooking Directions for Single Meal

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the minced onion and garlic powder. Drain and stir in the spaghetti sauce.
  2. Place the ravioli into the base of the slow cooker and pour 1 cup of beef broth over the top. Then pour the beef-spaghetti sauce over the top and then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  3. Set on low and cook for 4 hours (or 5 hours if cooking the ravioli from frozen).
  4. Once done cooking, add the mozzarella over the top and let cook for 10 more minutes, or leave on warm setting for 10 minutes, allowing cheese to melt. Chop the basil for the garnish.
  5. Prepare the veggies and salad.
  6. Serve Slow Cooker Beef Ravioli with fresh basil garnish, veggies and salad.

Freezeasy Meal Prep Directions

  1. Brown 2 lbs. ground beef with 2 Tbsp minced onion and 2 tsp garlic powder. Let cool.

To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie in a round bowl/dish, add the following ingredients:

  • Half of the browned ground beef
  • 26 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Do NOT add ravioli or mozzarella cheese to the freezer baggie.

Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add label to baggie and freeze.

Freeze & Thaw Instructions

Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw in the fridge overnight, or a warm bowl of water for about 20 minutes. Add ravioli, beef broth, and thawed beef sauce to slow cooker and slow cook for 4-5 hours on low. Add mozzarella cheese just before serving.

Thaw the beef sauce. Add the ravioli plus beef broth to slow cooker insert. Then add the thawed beef sauce over the top. Slow cook on low for 4 to 5 hours. Top with shredded mozzarella just before serving.
Serve with veggies and salad.
