Greek Ziti Bake

Amazing flavor in this pasta bake! We don’t usually spend this much time on the pre-freezer prep of our meals, but this one is so worth the extra effort. Enjoy!
Ingredients for Single Meal
- 1 - lb(s) ground beef
- 1 - red bell pepper(s)
- 1 - Tbsp minced onion
- 1 - tsp garlic powder
- 1 - 28 oz. can(s) crushed tomatoes
- 1 - Tbsp dried oregano
- 1/2 - tsp cinnamon
- 4 - oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 - cup(s) Parmesan cheese
- 12 - oz. ziti pasta noodles
- 2 - cup(s) shredded mozzarella cheese
- Side: - salad**
- 1 - 9x13 disposable foil tray(s)

Cooking Directions for Single Meal
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a rectangular baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Cook the ziti pasta noodles as directed. Drain well.
- Chop the red bell pepper.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped red bell pepper, minced onion and garlic powder. Once browned, drain and then mix in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, and ground cinnamon and bring to bubbling. Then stir in the cream cheese and Parmesan cheese.
- Gently combine the cooked ziti and cooked meat mixture in the baking dish. Then top with the shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until warmed through and cheese on top is melted.
- Prepare the salad.

- Brown 2 lbs. ground beef with 2 Tbsp minced onion and 2 tsp garlic powder. Drain and let cool.
- Open 2 cans of crushed tomatoes.
- Chop 2 red bell peppers. Toss with the browned ground beef. Stir in the 2 cans crushed tomatoes, 2 Tbsp dried oregano and 1 tsp ground cinnamon. Then stir in 8 oz. cream cheese until melted into the meat sauce, and stir in 1 cup Parmesan cheese.
- Cook 2 - 12 oz. boxes of ziti noodles and drain well.
To each disposable tray, add the following ingredients:
- Half of the cooked pasta
- Half of the ground beef mixture
- 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese on top
Cover with foil or lid, add label and freeze.
Freeze & Thaw Instructions
Put tray in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw in the fridge overnight, or a warm shallow dish of water for about 20 minutes, before transferring to the oven and baking as directed.
