Cooking Directions for Single Meal

  1. Pound out the chicken breasts slightly and then place in bowl or shallow dish. Coat the chicken breasts in the BBQ sauce and marinate for at least 2 hours.
  2. Grill the chicken breasts for at least 6 to 8 minutes per side, or until no longer pink in the middle. Cooking time may vary depending on thickness.
  3. Prepare fruit.
  4. Place grilled chicken breast and sliced Provolone cheese on sandwich buns.
  5. Serve Grilled Hawaiian Chicken Sandwiches with fruit and potato chips.

Freezeasy Meal Prep Directions

  1. Lightly pound 8 chicken breasts.

To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie, add the following ingredients:

  • Half of the pounded chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add label to baggie and freeze.

Freeze & Thaw Instructions

Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw completely in the fridge overnight before grilling.

Special notes

For smokier, deeper flavor, use sliced Gouda cheese in place of the sliced Provolone cheese.

Dairy-Free Modifications

Omit slices of cheese for dairy-free meal.

Gluten-Free Modifications

Serve chicken without buns or wrapped in lettuce leaves for gluten-free meal.
