Grilled Salmon with Hawaiian Glaze

A scrumptious sauce that glazes right onto the salmon, while it grills to tender perfection. If you want to add grilled pineapple slices, for the full effect, I highly recommend. Enjoy!

- 1 - lb(s) salmon fillet
- - Salt and pepper
- 1/2 - cup(s) soy sauce
- 1/4 - cup(s) brown sugar
- 2 - Tbsp ketchup
- 1 - tsp minced garlic
- Garnish: - pineapple slices**

Cooking Directions for Single Meal
- Cook rice, as directed.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, and minced garlic.
- Cut salmon fillet into individual serving portions. Place in a small baking dish and season with salt and pepper. Pour the sauce over the salmon. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill. Place the salmon and sauce onto the grill and brush additional sauce over the top. Discard excess marinade/sauce after brushing on top.
- Grill salmon, skin side down over direct heat for 8 to 10 minutes, or until cooked through. Flip over and grill for 3 to 4 more minutes, or until cooked through. Grilling time will vary depending on the thickness of the salmon fillets.
- If desired, grill the pineapple slices in the last 2 to 3 minutes that the salmon fillets are on the grill.
- Prepare the salad.

- Cut 2 lbs. of salmon fillet into 8 pieces.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup brown sugar. 4 Tbsp ketchup, and 2 tsp minced garlic.
To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie, add the following ingredients:
- 4 salmon pieces
- Salt and pepper, pinch of each onto the salmon fillets
- Half of the prepared sauce
Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add label to baggie and freeze.
Freeze & Thaw Instructions
Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw completely in the fridge, before transferring the salmon and marinade to the grill. Grill over direct heat as directed.
