Instant Pot Buttery Salmon

Simple, yet fantastic buttery glaze that bakes right into the salmon. Mix up a basic butter compound with your favorite seasoning blend and let it melt right into the salmon, as it bakes to perfection.

Ingredients for Single Meal

  • 1 - lb(s) salmon fillet
  • 1 - cup(s) hot water
  • 4 - Tbsp butter
  • 2 - tsp herb seasoning blend
  • Side: - rice**
  • Side: - veggies**
  • 1 - gallon-size freezer baggie(s)

Cooking Directions for Single Meal

  1. Place the hot water into the base of the insert and add a steamer rack. Place the salmon with dollop of butter on top onto the steam rack. If needed, stack salmon fillets in single layers until all fit into the insert.
  2. Steam valve: Sealing.
  3. Cook on: Manual/High for 2 minutes.
  4. Release: Natural or Quick.
  5. Cook rice, as directed.
  6. Let the butter soften and then combine it with the seasoning blend to make a compound.
  7. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  8. Cut salmon fillet into 4 pieces. Place in small baking dish and season with salt and pepper. Add a dollop of the butter compound onto each piece of salmon fillet.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until salmon is no longer pink in the middle. Cooking time may vary depending on thickness of salmon.
  10. Prepare veggies.
  11. Serve Instant Pot Buttery Salmon with rice and veggies.

Freezeasy Meal Prep Directions

  1. Cut 2 lbs. of salmon fillet into 8 pieces.
  2. Let the 8 Tbsp butter soften and then combine it with 4 tsp seasoning blend to make a compound.

To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie in a round bowl/dish, add the following ingredients:

  • 4 salmon pieces
  • Salt and pepper
  • Dollop of butter compound on each salmon

Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add label to baggie and freeze.

Freeze & Thaw Instructions

Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw in the fridge overnight, or a warm bowl of water for about 20 minutes, before adding contents of bag plus water to electric pressure cooker insert. Pressure cook as directed.
