Ingredients for Single Meal

  • 1 1/2 - lb(s) sirloin beef tips
  • 1 - Tbsp minced onion
  • 1 - tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 - cup(s) red cooking wine
  • 1 - 8 oz can(s) tomato sauce
  • 1 - cup(s) beef broth
  • 1 - 10 oz can(s) cream of mushroom
  • - Salt and pepper
  • Side: - mashed potatoes**
  • Side: - salad**
  • 1 - gallon-size freezer baggie(s)

Cooking Directions for Single Meal

  1. Open the cans of tomato sauce and cream of mushroom soup.
  2. In the base of the Instant Pot insert, brown the sirloin beef tips with the minced onion and garlic powder. Turn off the Instant Pot.
  3. Mix in the red wine, tomato sauce, beef broth and cream of mushroom soup. Gently stir together and then pressure cook.
  4. Steam valve: Sealing.
  5. Cook on: Manual/High for 25 minutes.
  6. Release: Natural Release.
  7. Once cooked, stir through and mix the beef and sauce together.
  8. Prepare the mashed potatoes and salad.
  9. Serve Instant Pot Steak Bites over mashed potatoes with side salad.

Freezeasy Meal Prep Directions

  1. Open 2 cans of tomato sauce and 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup.

To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie in a round bowl/dish, add the following ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs. sirloin steak tips
  • 1 Tbsp minced onion
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup red cooking wine
  • 1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 - 10 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  • Do not freeze the beef stock

Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add label to baggie and freeze.

Freeze & Thaw Instructions

Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw in the fridge overnight, or a warm bowl of water for about 20 minutes, before transferring to pressure cooker insert. Add the beef stock and contents from baggie. Pressure cook as directed.
