A fabulous homemade sauce and marinade for the beef. We recommend thawing completely before grilling these scrumptious kebabs. Enjoy!

Ingredients for Single Meal

  • 2 - lb(s) stew beef
  • 1 - small red bell pepper(s)
  • 1 - 20 oz. can(s) pineapple chunks
  • 1/3 - cup(s) soy sauce
  • 1 - orange(s)
  • 1 - Tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 - tsp sesame oil
  • 1 - tsp minced garlic
  • 1 - tsp ground ginger
  • Side: - rice**

Cooking Directions for Single Meal

  1. If needed, cut the stew beef into 1-inch pieces to skewer.
  2. Seed and dice the red bell pepper into large chunks. Cut the red onion into large chunks.
  3. Open and drain the canned pineapple.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, juice from 1 orange, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic and ground ginger. Add the stew beef to the bowl and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or overnight ideally.
  5. Using metal or bamboo skewers, string the beef pieces with the bell pepper, red onion and pineapple chunks. Place into the tray and brush with marinade.
  6. Heat the grill and add the beef kebabs over the direct heat. Let cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side, rotating every couple of minutes. Discard remaining marinade.
  7. Cook the rice, as directed.
  8. Prepare the salad.
  9. Serve Orange Hoisin Beef Kebabs with salad and rice.

Freezeasy Meal Prep Directions

  1. Seed and dice 2 red bell peppers. Cut 2 red onions into chunks.
  2. Open and drain 2 cans of pineapple chunks.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2/3 cup soy sauce, juice from 2 oranges, 2 Tbsp rice wine vinegar, 2 tsp sesame oil, 2 tsp minced garlic and 2 tsp ground ginger.

To each disposable tray, add the following ingredients:

  • Half of the beef kebabs
  • Half of the marinade, brushed onto the kebabs in each tray

Cover with foil or lid, add label and freeze.

Freeze & Thaw Instructions

Put tray in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw in the fridge overnight, before transferring to the grill and grilling as directed.
