Let’s get these patties made and into the freezer. On the day you cook them, you thaw, saute them and then make the homemade mushroom-onion sauce in the same skillet. These Salisbury Steaks are perfect with a side of mashed potatoes and veggies. Enjoy!
Ingredients for Single Meal
- 1 - lb(s) ground beef
- 1 - Tbsp minced onion
- 1 - tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 - cup(s) Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 - egg(s)
- 2 - Tbsp olive oil
- 1 - small white onion(s)**
- 8 - oz. sliced white mushrooms**
- 1 - cup(s) beef broth**
- 1 - Tbsp Worcestershire sauce**
- 2 - Tbsp all purpose flour**
- Side: - mashed potatoes**
- Side: - veggies**

Cooking Directions for Single Meal
- Add the ground beef, minced onion, garlic powder, breadcrumbs and egg into a mixing bowl. Combine together and form into 4 patties.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and then brown the patties on both sides for 4 minutes each, then cook another 3 to 5 minutes or until cooked through. Set the cooked patties aside on a plate.
- Slice the onions into half moons.
- In the same skillet, saute the onion slices and sliced mushrooms for 3 minutes or until onions become translucent. Stir in the beef broth and worcestershire sauce and bring to bubbling. Whisk in the flour and let simmer for 3 minutes or until sauce begins to thicken.
- Return the patties into the sauce and keep over low heat until ready to serve.
- Cook the mashed potatoes.
- Warm the veggies.
- Serve Salisbury Steak with mashed potatoes and veggies.

- Add 2 lbs. ground beef, 2 Tbsp minced onion, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 cup breadcrumbs and 2 eggs into a mixing bowl. Combine together and form into 8 patties.
To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie, add the following ingredients:
- Place half of the salisbury steak patties into each baggie
- Note: Do not make the sauce now, that will be made on cook day.
Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add label to baggie and freeze.
Freeze & Thaw Instructions
Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw completely in the fridge overnight, before transferring to the skillet to cook and then make the mushroom-onion sauce as directed in the recipe above.
