  • 1 - lb(s) ground beef
  • 2 - 15 oz. can(s) white beans
  • 2 - 15 oz. can(s) sloppy joe sauce
  • - Salt and pepper
  • 8 - sandwich buns**

Cooking Directions for Single Meal

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain and return to the skillet.
  2. To the skillet, stir in the white beans, sloppy joe sauce, plus 1 cans worth of water. Bring to bubbling, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Assemble sandwiches once sauce is warmed through.
  3. Prepare salad.
  4. Serve Slopp-Beany Joes with salad.

Freezeasy Meal Prep Directions

  1. Brown 2 lbs. ground beef and drain well. Set aside and let cool.
  2. Open, drain and rinse 4 cans white beans. Open 4 cans sloppy joe sauce.

To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie, add the following ingredients:

  • Half of the browned ground beef
  • 2 - 15 oz. cans small white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 - 15 oz. cans sloppy joe sauce

Remove as much as air as possible and seal.

Freeze & Thaw Instructions

Thaw in the fridge overnight. Add the contents of the freezer baggie to the skillet and add 1 cans worth of water (about 1 ½ cups). Bring sauce to bubbling over medium high heat and then reduce to low and simmer for 20 minutes before assembling sandwiches.

Special notes

1 serving = 1 sandwich. Leftover slopp-beany joe meat and beans can be frozen. Cool completely before freezing to reduce freezer burn potential.
