  • 1 - 15 oz. can(s) diced tomatoes
  • 1 - 4 oz. can(s) green chiles
  • 2 - 10 oz. bag peppers and onion
  • - Salt and pepper
  • Side: - rice**

Cooking Directions for Single Meal

  1. Slice the sausage links. Place the slices into the base of the slow cooker insert.
  2. Pour the diced tomatoes, diced green chilies, and2 bags of frozen pepper and onion blend over the top. Mix well. Set the slow cooker on low and cook for 8 hours. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cook rice, as directed.
  4. Serve Slow Cooker Spicy Sausage and Peppers over rice.

Freezeasy Meal Prep Directions

  1. Slice 2 lbs. sausage links.
  2. Open 2 cans of diced tomatoes.
  3. Open 2 cans of diced green chilies.

To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie, add the following ingredients:

  • Half of the sliced sausage
  • Half of the canned diced tomatoes
  • Half of the canned diced green chilies
  • 2 - 10 oz. bags frozen pepper and onion blend
  • Salt and pepper

Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add label to baggie and freeze.

Freeze & Thaw Instructions

Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw in the fridge overnight, or a warm bowl of water for about 20 minutes, before transferring to the slow cooker and cooking on low for 8 hours.
