Broccoli and Beef is one of my favorite dishes, but I avoided making it for years because I thought the recipe involved too many steps for an easy stir-fry dinner. Enjoy this simple, freezer friendly version!

Ingredients for Single Meal

  • 1 1/2 - lb(s) sirloin steak
  • - Salt and pepper
  • 2 - Tbsp canola oil
  • 12 - oz. teriyaki sauce
  • 1 - lb(s) frozen broccoli florets
  • Side: - rice**
  • Side: - frozen egg rolls**
  • 1 - gallon-size freezer baggie(s)

Cooking Directions for Single Meal

  1. Thinly slice* the sirloin steak, slicing across the grain of the meat. Place into a shallow dish for marinating.
  2. Cook rice and egg rolls, as directed.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the canola oil. Add the steak strips and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Saute over high heat for 2 to 3 minutes and add the teriyaki sauce. Reduce heat to medium and let the sauce and beef cook for 5 more minutes. Toss in the frozen broccoli and mix together. Cook for another 5 minutes to warm up the broccoli.
  4. Serve Teriyaki Beef & Broccoli over rice with egg rolls.

Freezeasy Meal Prep Directions

    To each gallon-size plastic freezer baggie, add the following ingredients:

    • Half of the sliced steak pieces
    • 1 - 12 oz. jar teriyaki sauce
    • Do NOT freeze the broccoli with these ingredients.

    Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add a label to the baggie and freeze.

    Freeze & Thaw Instructions

    Put baggie in the freezer and freeze for up to 6 months in the fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw in the fridge overnight, or a warm bowl of water for about 20 minutes, before transferring to the skillet for cooking the beef and sauce, then adding in the frozen broccoli.

    You can purchase the meat from the store, already cut into strips.

    Recipe is gluten-free when you use gluten-free teriyaki sauce. If needed, use an alternative side dish for the frozen egg rolls.

    Thaw and saute in wok or skillet over high heat for 5 to 7 minutes. Add the frozen broccoli and mix well. Cook for 5 more minutes, or until broccoli is warmed through.
    Serve over rice with egg rolls.
